Georg Ludviksson

Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer

Meniga‘s PFM Solution is built on Georg‘s clear vision of how information technology can be used to help people better manage their finances. Georg is passionate about personal finance and has, over many years, tried or used most software solutions that are available for managing personal finances (including Quicken, Microsoft Money, Wesabe, Mint.com, and countless others) leading to a clear vision of how these solutions can be significantly improved. In addition to leading Meniga, Georg serves as Meniga’s personal finance „guru“.

Georg holds an MBA degree from Harvard Business School with emphasis on Entrepreneurship and Finance. Georg also holds a Software Engineering degree from the University of Iceland. Georg is an experienced technology entrepreneur with over 10 years of experience of founding, building and managing software startups with a global perspective. Georg co-founded UpDown.com in Boston in 2007 and served as VP of Product Management. UpDown.com is a leading social investing web site in the USA with over 400,000 members. Before co-founding UpDown.com, Georg served as VP of Sales for Men & Mice, a provider of specialized enterprise software to many of the world’s largest companies. Georg also co-founded Dimon Software in 1998, an Icelandic enterprise mobility company that was a big technology provider to Nokia and one of Iceland’s leading software companies for several years.

Asgeir Orn Asgeirsson

Co-Founder and Chief Technology Officer

Asgeir is responsible for the technical architecture, development and operation of the Meniga PFM web application and leads Meniga’s software development team.

Asgeir holds a Software Engineering degree from the University of Iceland and has over 12 years of experience of software development and management of top-tier software development teams.  In his previous role at Landsbanki, Asgeir led the team responsible for developing Landsbanki’s world-class online banking solutions for over 3 years. Asgeir has encyclopedic knowledge of the technical infrastructure of financial institutions.

Viggo Asgeirsson

Co-Founder and Chief Marketing Officer

Viggo has been a prominent figure in Iceland’s marketing, media and web site scene for over a decade and also has extensive experience of marketing and managing financial web solutions in Europe.

Viggo holds a BA degree in history from the University of Iceland and an MBA degree from Reykjavik University. Before joining Meniga, Viggo served as Director of Marketing and E-Commerce at Landsbanki (Iceland’s largest bank) from 2003 to 2009. The bank received a number of prominent awards and nominations for marketing and web site design during Viggo’s tenure. Prior to joining Landsbanki, Viggo served as Head of Web Development at Bunadarbanki and Iceland Telecom (Siminn).

Duena Blomström

Director of International Sales

A seasoned sales and account management professional, Duena leads Meniga's international sales activities.

Duena's approach to sales exemplifies the concept of the truly consultative sale as she always goes to great lengths in understanding any clients' business challenges and how her offering can add value.

Duena brings over 10 years of experience and an impressive track record of excellence in sales and sales management. Before joining Meniga, she worked for WSI Sweden for 3 years where she built a successful sales organization from scratch and increased sales over 900% during her tenure. Duena also established and led Lux.mentis, a sales oriented Management Consulting company that focused on training sales professionals in consultative sales, complex sales and Social Media based Sales.

Duena holds an MBA degree from Georgetown University and an MS desgree in Psychology from New York University.

Einar Thor Gustafsson

VP of Product Management

An interaction and information designer with a special focus on financial data and online banking, Einar has been working in the web industry since 1998 and is responsible for Meniga's PFM solution's overall road map and strategic vision. 

Einar holds a degree in Multimedia Production form SAE New York and Project Management from the University of Iceland.

Prior to joining Meniga Einar worked at Íslandsbanki/Glitnir Bank for seven years holding numerous positions including Executive Director of Global Internet strategy and Development Manager for Online Banking and Web Solutions.

Tinna Karen Gunnarsdottir

Director of Front-end Development

Tinna oversees front-end development and graphical design at Meniga. Tinna is gifted with various skills and extensive experience that make her exceptional at what she does.
Tinna holds a BS degree in Computer Science from the University of North Carolina. She also attended a course in Media arts and animation from the Art Institute of California in San Francisco.

Prior to joining Meniga, Tinna worked for EC Software in various roles in front-end web development, graphical design, employee training, and project management. During her tenure with EC, Tinna spent 2 years in India where she single-handedly hired, trained and managed a team of 35 software developers while supervising many of EC‘s major projects at the same time. Prior to joining EC, Tinna worked as a front-end developer for several companies.
