We at Meniga congratulate our partners at UniCredit for going live with their personal financial management (PFM) mBanking app in Serbia. The app is data-driven and designed to help people understand and manage their money through delightful user experience. It is fantastic to see how well the app is received by the bank’s customers.
The feature-rich and user-friendly app is designed to save its users time and money. It is available both for Android and iOS. At the time of writing, the Android version of the app has over one hundred thousand downloads and a rating of 4.1 out of 5. The iOS version has a rating of 4 out of 5.
Fun and engaging activity feed
The Mbanking app gives users important insights and nudges about their finances. The activity feed is designed to be fun and engaging and tell users the story of their finances as it unfolds. Last but least, the app gives the user a snapshot of his or her financial position in an easy to understand infographic format.
Learning from users
Transaction enrichment, such as merchant mapping and categorization, are performed by Meniga’s market-leading transaction enrichment engine. Users can adjust the categorisation of transactions or split amounts between categories. This user input is used to optimize the categorisation engine even further.

says Feza Tan, CEO of UniCredit Bank Serbia
Georg Ludviksson, CEO & Co-Founder of Meniga is excited about the launch.
“We started the project with UniCredit Bank Serbia with an intensive design sprint. Right from the beginning, the objective of the app was clear, it was to deliver the most engaging digital experience and support positive financial behavior. To achieve this we sought inspiration from non-banking apps such as Tripcase, Fitbit, IMDB, Strava, Google Calendar and Linkedin.
We at Meniga have also learned a thing or two from our decade of running a customer facing financial management app in the Nordics!
What makes us the happiest about this project are the high ratings from UniCredit Bank Serbia customers in the Google and Apple app stores. Congratulations UniCredit Bank Serbia!”
