Happy birthday Meniga app!

It has been a year since we launched the latest version of our app. Our personal financial coach is inspired by fitness apps such as Fitbit, Strava and Endomondo. We made a lot of changes designed to increase user engagement and loyalty. We simplified the user interface, made transactions even richer and compelling, introduced bite sized weekly reports, created habit forming financial challenges and made it easier for users to analyse their spending.

New approach pays off

This new way of approaching personal finance paid off. In Iceland, where the app is publicly available, we consolidate transactions from three of the major local banks. Users also get merchant funded cashback offers from a wide variety of retailers. About one in five Icelanders has installed the app and with the new version we tripled the number of monthly active users. Our NPS score went from 0 to a six months average of 36.

The Meniga Platform Evolves

We continue to innovate and last September we released version 3.9.0. of the Meniga platform. The new release adds such goodies as new user events for life goals, predictions of upcoming amount for bank accounts, a new cashback client for Rewards, the integration of System Challenges into Dialog and the improvement of our translation API.
