We are thrilled to announce that our very own Kristín Hrefna Halldórsdóttir, has been shortlisted for ‘Data science professional of the year’ at the inaugural Waters Technology Women in Technology and Data Awards. The awards recognise, promote and celebrate the contribution that women make across the capital markets, specifically in the data and technology industries. The final winners will be announced on 9 March at the Marriott Hotel Regent’s Park in London.
Kristín, an Account Manager & Data Scientist at Meniga, started her career as a journalist, before moving into technology. Technology has always been a passion of Kristín’s and took an interest in Meniga as company, given its fresh approach to digital banking solutions, as well as its agile approach to work. She joined the Meniga team in 2013 and has not looked back.
Over the next 12 months, Kristín plans to focus on the optimisation of some of Meniga’s existing products, via the review of algorithms, taking in findings from the merchant relationships she has been fostering. These continus improvement projects will also take Meniga’s growth plans into different markets into account.
