Meniga and UniCredit launch enhanced version of ‘Smart Banking’ app in Bosnia and Herzegovina

The launch follows the success of UniCredit banking apps in Serbia and the Czech Republic, making Bosnia and Herzegovina the third market to benefit from Meniga and UniCredit’s ongoing collaboration.

We are really excited to announce that UniCredit’s popular Smart Banking app is now live in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Successfully launched in Czech Republic earlier this year, the Smart Banking app utilises Meniga’s technology to drive customer engagement and increase loyalty.

Providing UniCredit users with personal finance management support

The user-friendly and data-driven app is designed to act as an everyday financial advisor for its users, helping them to better understand and take control of their finances.

Key features of the app provide Smart Banking users with:

  • Detailed overviews of the user’s accounts and banking products
  • Incoming and outgoing payments summarised through easy-to-read graphs
  • Categorisation of all transactions and user-friendly budget management

These features help improve and personalise UniCredit customers’ overall digital banking experience by providing app users with a clear and understandable overview of their income and expenses and giving them access to detailed information about their current accounts, loans, credit cards, and transactions.

The app is free-to-download and available via the AppStore and GooglePlay, and at the time of writing, the iOS version has an impressive rating of 4.7 out of 5.

Building upon the successes of the ongoing partnership between UniCredit and Meniga

UniCredit signed a global strategic partnership with Meniga in 2019 to integrate Meniga’s digital banking software globally, with the MBanking app in Serbia as the first product to launch as part of the collaboration.

In Serbia, the results were almost instantaneous, with UniCredit’s user engagement and customer loyalty increasing dramatically. Since the introduction of the new MBanking app, UniCredit has seen a 33% increase in registered users and a 49% increase in monthly active users, with the average time spent in the app more than doubling.
